Woman, 72, Hit By Car In Linden has Died

A Winfield Park woman who was struck by a vehicle while crossing a Linden street March 20 died this week, police said.

Linda Vicari was crossing at the 2800 block of N. Stiles St. when she was hit shortly before 9 p.m. She was rushed to University Hospital in Newark with serious injuries. The driver, a 33-year-old Linden resident, remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation, police said the day after the accident.

"Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time," the department also said.
